Today was absolutely miserable. The entier mountain was engulfed in one of those cloud amoebas, so it was cold, windy, and wet. We left Lake of the Clouds and 8:30 and climbed Mt. Washington in the cloud. The wind ballooned into my protective trash bag and nearly knocked me over. The path was comprised of slippery, rickety rocks that wobbled under our feet. They were all slanted downward, so we couldn't get a good grip on them. The whole trail was just as percarious, and I held up everyone by taking a while to find my footing.
Luckily, eventually we got to Madison hut. My feet were aching by the time we got there. it took us 8 hours to hike 7.2 miles up and down the horrendous terrain.
